Charge

The Charge repository is a collection of breakout boards and breadboard accessories to charge the Synth DIY projects on your workbench.

This Charge repository is where we share and develop open hardware building blocks. The idea behind a “Charge” contribution is simple: these allow us to build and test modules in smaller, reusable pieces before integrating them into larger synth designs.

These boards and supporting assets are meant to help you prototype quickly, validate circuits in manageable chunks, and assemble larger modules with more confidence.

Whether you are learning your first module design or contributing production-ready improvements, this repository is a shared design space for the clectric.diy makerspace community.

Repository Map and Scope

  • BreakoutBoards: breakout boards for common UI and I/O building blocks, plus supporting design assets (KiCad files, BOMs, renders, and silkscreen resources).
  • Panels: mechanical panel templates in AE modular sizes.
  • Protoboards: perf/protoboard-style PCBs for quick prototyping.
